NAT GEO TV CASTING: Male to portray TEDDY ROOSEVELT (esp ages 35-45) as both a young man (mid 20’s) & also older (50’s; we’ll age actor): Physical resemblance & strong acting chops to embody his powerful, charismatic, albeit slightly nerdy persona. Show: National Geographic’s EXPLORER called "What Would Teddy Do?," examines our current political climate through the lens of TR’s life & experiences. Shoot is in the Lithuania for 3-4 days during week of April 18. Rate: $400/day + 10% ( plus travel/food/expenses). Must be able to work non union. HBO TV CASTING: Male to portray Somali male (ages 17-25) SAMEER (lead): To say he's handsome (he is) communicates nothing of what makes him special. He has that look of nostalgia, like a mute poet – an ancient heretic is struggling to say one last thing through him. Melancholic eyes. He swings the pendulum b/w the articulate & the aggressive, the poetic & the violent. Serious eyes. Popular w/the neighborhood girls, but shares a beautiful connection/love w/girlfriend Lacy. When he reads poetry aloud, it’s w/sensitivity, drama & advanced intonation. Enchanting to watch. Thoughtful, passionate, likes music. Not an ordinary teen. High school senior. SAG-AFTRA scale rates (note prior quotes). TV series by K'naan Warsame. Email: email@example.com (SAMEER: AUDITION INSTRUCTIONS in subject line)
